Post-operative stockings
For anti-thromboembolic prophylaxis in the post-operative phase in at-risk patients or those with a history of thrombosis. With a compression of 24 mmHg at the ankle, it applies greater pressure than the traditional anti-thrombosis stocking. It is usefully employed in vascular surgery, orthopaedics and cardiac surgery.



Indications
Ambulatory patients in the pre- and post-operative phase, after venous stripping, patients with a history of venous thrombosis, bedridden patients with venous conditions. Treatment of post-operative oedema in orthopaedic surgery.
Contraindications
Infections, eczema, skin ulcers of the lower limbs of arterial origin, severe neuropathies, uncompensated heart failure, severe leg oedema, pulmonary oedema, pre-existing gangrene, hypodermitis, severe disorders of the arterial circulation.
Warnings
When putting on the stockings, take great care not to damage them with nails or rings. The use of rubber gloves is recommended. In the presence of wounds, sutures or irritated skin, adequately protect the affected area with a suitable plaster, sterile gauze or hygienic garment.
Washing instructions
Hand or machine wash at max 95°. Do not dry-clean, do not use solvents. Do not bleach, do not tumble-dry, do not iron.
